About My Blog
Ciao a tutti! Hello everyone! Welcome to My Tiny Italian Kitchen! I’m Angela—or Ange, as my friends call me. I’m an Aussie in my "thirty-somethings" (well, edging closer to forty—gasp!) with Italian roots on my mother’s side. I’ve always been enchanted by Italy—the art, the food, the family values, and, of course, the history. But, until recently, I hadn’t truly explored or appreciated my Italian heritage beyond family trips to Bundaberg in my younger days.
For years, I regretted not diving into my Italian traditions and history. I felt more Italian than Australian, yet knew so little about this side of me. In 2020, I planned to move to Italy to reconnect with my roots, but COVID put those dreams on hold. That’s when the idea for My Tiny Italian Kitchen was born—what better way to feel connected than to cook the dishes that shaped my heritage?
From my cozy kitchen here in Toowoomba, Australia, I’ll be whipping up recipes from my favorite cookbooks, family gems, and inspiration from beloved chefs. Whether you’re joining me in spirit or cooking along, I hope you’re as comfy as a passenger in this journey to living “la dolce vita!” We’ll be exploring more than food; expect a sprinkle of lifestyle, wine experiences, and even the occasional dating misadventure.
Cominciamo! (Let’s begin!)
P.S. All photos are shot on my iPhone 13, so please, no camera critiques—it’s the best I’ve got!
